Dionex CarboPac SA10-4μm Column for Fast, High-Resolution Mono- and Disaccharide Analysis

The New Thermo Scientific? Dionex? CarboPac? SA10-4μm Column is designed for fast chromatographic analysis of simple sugars in Biofuel and Food samples. The peak efficiencies produced by the Dionex CarboPac SA10-4μm columns produce 60 – 80% higher peak efficiencies than standard Dionex CarboPac SA10 columns, thus producing better resolution and easier peak identification and integration. The Dionex CarboPac SA10-4μm column can analyze six common sugars in Food samples in only 10 min, or eight common Biofuel mono- and disaccharides in less than 8 min.

This is the first in a series of Dionex CarboPac columns that use smaller resin particles. The smaller particles produce more efficient peaks and better resolution making analysis easier and more reliable.  The smaller particles also produce higher system back pressure (over 3000 psi) under standard operating conditions and therefore can only be run using Thermo Scientific? Dionex? HPIC? systems such as the Thermo Scientific Dionex ICS-5000+ HPIC system, which can operate up to 5000 psi.

The Dionex CarboPac SA10-4μm column should be used as a direct replacement for the Dionex CarboPac SA10 column only if an HPIC system is available

The polymeric Dionex CarboPac SA10-4μm column is packed with 4 μm supermacroporous substrate, coated with the same strong anion-exchange layer of latex nano beads as the Dionex CarboPac SA10 column, which provides high capacity and rapid, high-resolution separations. The Dionex CarboPac SA10-4μm columns feature high reproducibility, and can withstand thousands of injection cycles under high pH conditions.
